This practice test follows the format of the IELTS Speaking test and includes Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Use it to practise answering naturally, clearly, and in detail.

Task Card
Describe a live performance you have attended.
You should say:
- what the performance was
- where and when you saw it
- who you went with
- and explain why you remember it so well
You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.
Part 3
Discussion Topics: Live performances and entertainment
1. Why do many people enjoy watching live performances instead of recorded ones?
2. Do you think live performances are more important for young people or older people?
3. How has technology changed the way people experience music, theatre, or other performances?
4. Do you think governments should support the arts and live performance industries?
5. What kinds of performances are most popular in your country today?
6. In the future, do you think people will attend more live performances or fewer? Why?
Practice tip: In Part 1, keep your answers natural and not too long. In Part 2, organize your talk clearly with a beginning, middle, and end. In Part 3, give developed answers, reasons, and examples.
