In the Academic Writing course, you start by learning different types of essays first at high school level then at college/university level. There are many factors that affect the quality of your writing at university level. More suitable and formal vocabulary, more advanced structures, and proper responses to the topic.
In the second course, you learn about research techniques and get familiar with referencing styles such as APA, MLA, and CHICAGO STYLE.
If you plan to take the academic writing course, your overall English level should be minimum intermediate level.
