Who Needs CELPIP?
CELPIP is mainly used for immigration, visa, and professional purposes. Only a limited number of academic institutions in Canada and Australia currently accept it.
However, IRCC accepts CELPIP and this has helped many visa and citizenship applicants turn to CELPIP as their preferred English proficiency test. Before taking this test, make sure your institution or organization accepts CELPIP for your specific purpose.
CELPIP Versions
CELPIP General tests all four skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. It is the version used for most immigration, professional, and academic purposes that accept CELPIP.
CELPIP General LS tests only listening and speaking. It is used for limited purposes such as specific immigration or citizenship requirements.
